The Transcription Copy team is made up of professionals from all over Italy, who work on every single aspect of the company.
Ours is a positive, supportive and inclusive work environment, meaning that it aims to include people of any race, faith, religion, gender or educational background. To this end, we have drawn up some fundamental rules to which we ask anyone who interfaces with our work group to adhere. This code applies equally to everyone involved internally.
This is not an exhaustive list of things you can't do and can't do. Rather, take it in the same spirit in which it was created: providing a guideline to make sure that all the people who work at Transcript Copy are happy, productive, safe and free to "move".
This code of conduct applies to all spaces managed or participated by Trascrizioni Copy. This is to say that these are principles that must be adopted both while using our internal tools (Dropbox, Connect, Cliq, Projects, email, etc.), and when attending and live events and meetings.
Furthermore, violations of this code can prevent a person from staying within our organization, in any form and regardless of the role played in the structure.
If you believe that someone is violating the code of conduct, we ask you to report it by contacting your “supervisor” or contact person directly.
Be friendly and patient.
Be welcoming.
We are committed to being a company that welcomes and supports people of all backgrounds and identities. Ours is a team not limited to members of any race, ethnicity, culture, national origin, color, immigration status, social and economic class, education level, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, age, size, weight, family status, health status, political belief, religion, and mental and physical ability.
Be considerate.
Your work will be used and given into the hands of other people and what you receive in your hand will depend on the work of others. Any decision you make in the middle of a job will affect members and colleagues who come after you and consequently you should take this into account when making decisions.
Remember that we are people from all over Italy and you may not be communicating in the other person's tone / language. Take this into account when relating to others.
Be respectful.
Not everyone will agree in every case, in every situation, but disagreement is not an excuse to engage in bad behavior or reserve a defiant attitude. Each of us may find ourselves dealing with a sense of frustration from time to time, but we cannot allow this feeling to turn into a personal attack on another team member.
It is important to remember that a company where people feel uncomfortable or threatened is never productive. Transcript Copy members should be respectful when dealing with other teammates, as well as with people outside the team.
Be responsible for yourself.
During company retreats, group outings or other live events you are a representative of Trascrizioni Copy. Behave properly by putting yourself and those around you at ease.
Pay attention to the language you use. We are a community of professionals and we conduct ourselves professionally. Be nice to others. Do not insult or put other participants in a bad light in any kind of discussion. Any harassment or other similar exclusionary behavior towards other members is not accepted. This includes (although not limited to):
- Violent threats or offenses directed against another person.
- Jokes and discriminatory targeted languages.
- Post sexually explicit or violent material.
- Personal insults, especially those who use racist or sexist terms.
- Unwelcome sexual attention towards one or more members.
- Promote or encourage any of the behaviors described above.
- Repeated harassment of those around you.
- In general, if someone asks you to stop doing or saying something unwelcome, stop.
- Imposing humiliating tasks such as initiation rites on new teammates.
When we disagree, try to understand why.
Disagreements, both social and technical, happen all the time and Trascrizioni Copy is no exception. It is important to resolve disagreements and divergent opinions constructively, always.
Remember we are different.
The strength of Trascrizioni Copy comes from its various teammates, people from a wide range of backgrounds, scientific, humanities, or otherwise. Different people have different perspectives on problems. If you are unable to understand why someone holds a different point of view than yours it does not necessarily mean that the other is wrong.
To err is human.
Don't forget that to err is human and blaming each other gets us nowhere. Instead, focus on helping solve problems and learning from mistakes.
Code of conduct and language used strongly inspired by the code of conduct of Django.
